Ediguer E. Franco born in Colombia in 1973 and received a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering (2002) from the Universidad de Ibagué at Ibagué, Colombia. He also received a M.Sc (2006) and a doctorate degree (2010) from the School of Engineering at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Since 2010 he is with the Engineering Faculty at Universidad Autónoma de Occidente in Cali, Colombia, supporting teaching and research in the Mechanical Engineering program. The research topics of professor Franco are ultrasonic characterization of materials, development of piezoelectric devices, mechanical vibrations and numerical methods.
