Dr. Rodrigo Esteban González Reyes is a medical doctor graduated from the Universidad del Rosario, has a graduate diploma in statistics and a doctorate in neurosciences, both from Trinity College Dublin in the Republic of Ireland. Currently, he is a Principal Professor at the Universidad del Rosario, member of the “Neurovitae” Center for Neuroscience and the NeURos research group in neuroscience (classified as A1 in Minciencias). Dr. González's main line of research is basic neuroscience, focusing on the study of glial cells, in particular astrocytes, neurodegenerative diseases and neuroimmunology. He has published more than 20 internationally indexed papers, several in journals classified as Q1. In addition, he has been invited as a peer reviewer of projects in Colciencias calls on several occasions, as well as in various scientific journals, and as a jury for undergraduate and postgraduate theses.
