De ‘marihuaneros’a ‘mafiosos’: Transformaciones en los discursos de la prensa colombiana de los años sesenta y setenta sobre el ‘problema droga’
Artículo académico
Based on the theoretical reflection on the processes whereby journalism intervenes in the construction of social reality’s meaning, this article examines the main features of the representations offered by the Colombian written press in the 1960’s and 70’s concerning drug production, trafficking, and consumption. Through a critical and diachronic analysis of the compiled textual corpus, we track journalistic discourse continuances and variations when defining the so called ‘drug problem’ up to that point in time when, by the end of the 70’s, it became a national security affaire.
