De Roger Bacon a Wesley Salmon Artículo académico uri icon

Abstracto

  • This paper shows that in the English philosopher Roger Bacon (13th century) anticipated the distinction between causal process and pseudo-process, proposed by Wesley Salmon in order to defend an ontic conception of explanation, which in turn requires the presence of physical causal processes. In addition, the paper shows that Bacon had already awarded an important role to processes of causal transmission.
