This research seeks to adapt and apply one unit from a french book to the cognitive methodology of foreign language acquisition in order to determine its benefits. The sample is made up of 8 adult students from level five at the Alliance Française of Maracaibo. This is a theoretical-empirical research. For result obtaining, a semi-structured interview was used as the instrument. This study is framed within psycholinguistics since it has special interest in second language acquisition process and claims following the necessary stages for the acquisition. A unit from the series Alter Ego 1 is adapted to the suggested methodology and then applied to the sample; subsequently, an interviewis applied in order to analyse the benefits of this methodology. As a result, this methodology encourages oral comprehension and production and helps personal development
