The purpose of this research has been conducted a bibliometric analysis of articles published in journals indexed in the Colciencias¿s system PUBLINDEX in the period between the first half of 2005 and first half of 2008. 4683 articles published in these 67 journals were reviewed - 22 in category B, 36 in category A2 and 9 in A1 - of which 102 were selected by issues associated with, almost 2.17%. Then a database was designed in accordance with previously established variables and the information was systematized to the title, author, keywords, type of studyand instruments. The results revealed that the period with the highest number of publications was covering the first and second half of 2007 and the keywords most frequently mentioned were university students, education and cognition throughout the period, in addition to recognizing that the journals of education, psychology and sociology to perform a greater number of publications concerned with young people (25% of 67), for its part the medical journals (medicine, nursing, physiotherapy) are concerned primarily with the development of models for teaching science, and learning basic concepts.
