Miguel Gutiérrez-Peláez, PhD, is Professor of the Psychology Program at Universidad del Rosario and member of the 'Center for Psychosocial Studies' (CEPSS). He was Director of the Psychology Program (July 2016-February 2020) and Director of the journal 'Avances en Psicología Latinoamericana' (period 2015-2020). He is a Senior Researcher of Colciencias (2018 measurement). He has been recognized as a Distinguished Professor (Universidad del Rosario, 2013), obtained the CEIBA Scholarship:' International Summer School. Connecting the best for peace', and was the winner of the 3rd place “ASCOFAPSI AWARD FOR TEACHING INNOVATION 2020”. Dr. Gutiérrez-Peláez is a psychologist from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ) and obtained his Master's in Psychoanalysis and his Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Additionally, he is a psychoanalyst member of the 'New Lacanian School ' (NEL) and of the'World Association of Psychoanalysis' (WAP). He has taught in different universities in Colombia and Argentina and has worked as a clinician in different mental health institutions in both countries. He has worked with Colombian soldiers and police officers who fought in war zones, as well as with other people with psychological difficulties derived from the armed conflict. He has been lectured at several national and international universities, standing out of the latter the University of Bologna (UniBo), Italy (2017) and the American University of Cairo (AUC), Egypt (2019 and 2020). He is the author of the books 'Confusion of Tongues. A Return to Sandor Ferenczi' (published by Routledge - Taylor and Francis, 2018) and of 'Art and Psychoanalysis. (Unprecedented) Interventions of singular subjects'' (published by the Universidad del Rosario, 2018). Additionally, he has published several articles in nationally and internationally indexed journals, on topics related to trauma, art and psychological suffering and psychosocial interventions in armed conflict scenarios.
