I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Universidad del Rosario in Colombia, where I set up the first Experimental Economics Lab in Bogotá. Today, the lab is known as REBEL (Rosario Experimental and Behavioral Economics Lab). Currently, I am an experimental economist working in several areas, including labor economics, education economics, development economics, and political economy. I am most known for my contributions on social preferences and belief formation. Some of my papers have been published in journals like Journal of Economic Theory, Experimental Economics, Games and Economic Behavior, and Management Science. I hold a PhD in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London (2008).

Since 2018, I am part of the organizing committee of the Bogotá Experimental Economics Conference, which aims to strengthen the relationship between the vibrant group of Latin American experimental economists with peers form the rest of the world. Also, I co-organized the 2018 North American ESA Conference in Antigua, Guatemala. I am a co-founder and part of the academic committee of LACEA-BRAIN, a network that intends to highlight state-of-the-art research techniques to advance knowledge on behavioral economics in Latin America.
