Assistant professor from the Physiotherapy Program of the Medicine and Health Science School of Universidad del Rosario and researcher from the Center of Physical Activity Measurements. Physiotherapist with a master’s degree in Epidemiology, with research interest in the field of exercise, health, and sports. With experience in research projects related with the role of exercise on the prevention of chronic diseases such as cancer and is a current member of the international Networking for the development of research topics around cancer in agreement with other Colombian institutions and the Queens University of Belfast. She was young researcher from Colciencias in a project in collaboration with Karolinska Institute (Sweden) and has worked as a research assistant in de Department of Physical Activity and Epidemiology from Regensburg University and in the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology in Munich University. She works in research projects related with epidemiological surveillance of sports injuries in college athletes, specifically in the study of intrinsic risk factors and in the validation of instruments for the measurement of physical condition in Paralympics and conventional athletes. Currently is doing a PhD in Kinanthropology in Palacky University (Czech Republic) with the Fisher Scholarship.
