For almost 10 years I have been a researcher in the leprosy research group at ICMT-Universidad CES. During my PhD training, my research was focused on immunological models of the tissue and neural damage in leprosy patients. Finally, my goal as a researcher is to try to improve the quality of life of leprosy patients and their household contacts through studies on the early detection of this infection. On the other hand, in the last years I have been working in leishmaniasis and SARS-CoV-2.
