I am interested in identifying the molecular and developmental mechanisms underlying diversity and evolutionary change in natural populations. In particular, I study butterflies of the genus Heliconius, as well as other arthropods such as spiders and beetles. In order to unravel the genetics behind natural adaptation, I study multiple molecular aspects of these organisms with particular focus on changes at the DNA level and expression level.
