My research integrates fungal community dynamics with ecosystem processes at different spatial and temporal scales. I’m particularly interested in questions regarding how shifts in fungal community composition caused by host plant identity, environmental variation, climate change, or nitrogen deposition could differentially affect fungal taxa with particular functional traits, and as a consequence influence soil biogeochemical cycling and forest dynamics.
